WHO ARE WE?
AEAL (Association for the Study of Language Acquisition) is an international scientific association registered in Spain which aims are:

To promote the study of the acquisition and development of language in monolingual or multilingual contexts, with particular attention to the acquisition of Spanish, Basque, Catalan, and Galician languages.

To study the relationships of language with other processes (psychological, social, educational and biological), as well as with language typology.

To promote the study of the relationships between oral language development and the learning of written language and other systems of communication.

To promote the study of language impairments and intervention techniques.

To disseminate the scientific knowledge on language acquisition and development.

To foster scientific collaboration and communication among scholars of the area.

To advise government and local agencies on the above mentioned topics.
